In addition to the new Moto G, Google also pushed out a new sleeve for the Nexus 7 (2013). They added the red color to the existing black, yellow and gray options. All of which are selling for $29.99 from Google Play right now. These are actually some rather nice looking sleeves for the Nexus 7 along with a nice zipper on the side. Although some might argue that they are kind of expensive, which they are. While Google sells the hardware relatively at cost, they are making a profit, undoubtedly, on the accessories made available in the Play Store. You could probably find a sleeve just like this for your Nexus 7 from Poetic or another OEM for about $10 or less over on Amazon. Just like with the Nexus 7 Folio cases and the Nexus 5 bumper cases.
Google is selling all four colors of the Nexus 7 sleeve right now on Google Play for $29.99 and they are set to leave the warehouse in 1-2 business days. So if you order today, you’ll probably get a shipping notification, either from UPS or Google Play, tonight or tomorrow. Which is pretty quick.
It’s always nice to see more and more items added to the Google Play Store, especially now that it seems like Google has realized how to run the Play Store with all the traffic from a Nexus launch. As the Nexus 5 launch was a lot more smoother than the Nexus 4. Plus they seemed to have more inventory which is always a huge plus.
We saw a few new items hit the Play Store today, but still no Nexus 10, which is completely sold out now. Hopefully we’ll see Google announce a new Nexus 10 soon, as I know I’m not the only one anxiously awaiting one. How many of you are going to pick up this new Nexus 7 (2013) sleeve from Google Play?
